ANSWER: Because the revenue report is based on the check-out date of a reservation. The tax reporting (and payments reporting) is based on the transaction date.

QUESTION: Why is there a discrepancy between my revenue report and my transaction report or my tax report?
ANSWER: Because the revenue report is based on the check-out date of a reservation. The tax reporting (and payments reporting) is based on the transaction date.

QUESTION: How is revenue for a cancelled reservation reported?
ANSWER: The revenue report accounts for "booked" revenue only. This is so that your data will remain unaffected by cancelled reservations. If you have collected payment or have processed a refund from a cancelled reservation, this will show in the "payments" report.
