Google Accounts are Hard and Confusing

Having trouble with accessomg your google analytics account or google my business listing? Most of the time you aren't logged into the right account.

Don't see your website/property when you login to Google Analytics or Google Business or Google Search Console?

Make Sure You're Signed In to the Correct Google Account

Access to and the ability to view the right data in Google is given on an account by account basis. Many times - people do not realize they have multiple Google Accounts and if you're using the wrong one when you're trying to access Google Analytics or Google My Business or Google Search Console etc - you won't be able to see your information.

To see which account you're logged-in to, click on the little icon in the top right hand corner of the page in any Google tool. This is an example from Google Analytics but Google Business and Search Console work the same way. (so does youtube and gmail etc)

Use this to switch or select a different account from the list.

If you don't see the correct account,  click "add account"

And then if you STILL don't see the correct account, click "Use another account" and sign into the correct Google Account.

Not sure what account you used? Can't figure it out? That's a tough one - only Google can help you really. There's really no way to tell what account is the 'owner' of a Google account, or who set it up etc. So you'll have to use their options for requesting ownership or management of your business or google analytics account.

Don't Have the "Manage Users" access to your Google Analytics Account?

Did you create the google analytics account and are an administrator but you do not remember which google account you used?

Through the troubleshooter link above - Google may ultimately tell you to verify ownership with a meta tag. Contact support with your code if that is the case.

For the Odysys team:
We can only do this for customers where we have a live website in the Odysys system

If Odysys 1.0: You will add this meta tag to Site Builder > Settings > Google Webmaster Tools. Do not overwrite existing codes - just add it here

If wordpress - we can add via the tracking code manager plugin that we're using on the customer site.

Example meta tag: <meta name="analytics.txt" content="GooGhywoiu9839t543j0s7543uw1 - pls add {agoogleaccountemailaddressyouhaveaccessto} to GA account {Insert UA-ID} with ‘Manage Users and Edit’ permissions - date {Insert Date}.">
