Retargeting ad campaigns are a cost-effective way to advertise to potential guests that visit your website but don't make a reservation. In other words, it is a way to "recapture" reservations. We create your ads, setup your account, and manage everything.

Who is it for?
Reservation Recapture is extremely effective at helping to get more bookings out of the traffic you already get. Retargeting gets more effective as you build more traffic to your site from organic search, referrals, social media, your local business listing, Google Ads, etc.
How does it work?
The Reservation Recapture program works by showing advertisements to visitors of your website who don't book. We can follow those visitors around with ads on Facebook, Instagram, and other social networks, as well as their favorite websites for a specified period of time after they visit your site.
These ads are more effective than traditional display ads because they are only showing to visitors who have already visited your site and have exhibited a high degree of intent to book.
What can I expect?
When you sign up, Odysys will have a brief onboarding discussion with you to go over the process and confirm details with respect to budget, targeting, ad copy, ad images, etc., and then we will create your campaign.
We will also update your analytics and conversion tracking or, if you're using a 3rd party booking engine we will walk you through any needed steps.
Once the campaign is live, we will then provide regular reporting, make occasional budget recommendations based on performance, and be available for phone calls as needed.
How much do I need to spend on advertising budget?
Most customers typically start out with the minimum monthly budget of $150, but our team will make a recommendation for a starting budget if you wish to spend more. We will also recommend increases or decreases in budget over time that will improve performance.
Can I tell if this recapture/retargeting campaign is driving bookings?
Absolutely. We can report on the influence this campaign has on bookings and the ROAS (return on ad spend) including how much revenue the campaign is generating.

You've seen retargeting campaigns in action before even if you didn't know it. Think about that sweater or pair of shoes or snowblower you looked at on an ecommerce site but didn't buy (or maybe you did) - you'll see an ad for that product following you around the internet for a while.
Online travel agencies (Expedia, TripAdvisor, etc) also run retargeting campaigns for people who see your listing on their website but don't book. This is a way they "steal" direct bookings from you, by driving people who are interested in your property back to the OTA site to book.
For example - a customer asked us to look at their TripAdvisor page for some reason. later that day, TripAdvisor was showing an ad on Instagram for the customer's property.
